Bonfire Night Without the Fireworks!

Newmarket Rugby Club is hosting a Bonfire night evening of fun and frolics and without the hassle of the Fireworks on Saturday 4th November. Players, Sponsors and Supporters are requested to stay on after the match and join in!

£10.00 to enter the Sports Pub Quiz, £5.00 to enter the Darts Competition and you have to bring a drinking game with you!!!

Newmarket deliver against Lowestoft

NEWMARKET bounced back this week to comprehensively out-play a full-strength Lowestoft and Yarmouth side. They also welcomed back skipper Craig Hunter who was outstanding all afternoon.
The game started with the home side squandering an early penalty chance after applying good pressure up-front. However, Newmarket defended stoutly and prevented the home side from scoring.

The balance of the match soon changed as soon as Newmarket picked up the pace of the game. Rick Cook was excellent in attack, constantly linking with the back line. Stephen Green was a constant threat and it wasn't long before Newmarket opened the scoring.

After several phases of play, the ball was moved smartly from right to left allowing coach Chris Kent to crash over the line from close range.

Newmarket continued to dominate and soon scored again, following significant contributions from Matt Carter at scrum half and Craig Jefferies in the back row.
The ball was moved quickly to the right following a quick ruck, allowing Eric Nathangle to dive over to give Newmarket a 10-0 lead.
